Learn to Trade Stocks
Learning to Trade Stocks can be as complicated or easy as you want to make it.

Many successful Stock Traders only trade a few stocks that they know well - popular stocks around the house.

Others Stock traders research 100's of stocka and trade them regularly.

How to get started Trading Stocks
There are many courses and books on Stock Trading. If you are serious about investing in stocks, you should read a book or use an online course on stock investing.

You should also start by trading imaginary stocks - or paper stock trading.

  • Step 1: Set a Budget
  • How much money do you want to invest in the market. Can you afford to lose the money that you're "investing"? Remember that stocks are a gamble.
  • Step 2: Pick Stocks
  • Use a site like Google Finance or Yahoo Finance to find stocks that are worth buying. If you're not sure where to start, I'm a big fan of books by Jim Cramer.
  • Step 3:Find an online Broker
  • Online brokers are the easiest way to buy stocks. They charge you between $5 and $12 to buy or sell a stock.
  • Step 4: Place a buy order
  • Set a limit order for the price that you're willing to pay for the stock. Think of it as an auction. Using market orders will buy the stock at the going market price plus a few cents.
  • Not ready to start buying real stocks? Try online stock paper trading today.
